PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WEE mini PIGGY FARM AND OWNERS ARE NOT A BOARDING FACILITY.
Please consider that when your new piggy is ready to go off to your family we are more then happy to work with you on time lines to make his delivery convenient for you. If you are unable to arrange to receive him within 2 weeks after your payment in full we will need to charge $8.00 a day for your piggy to stay with us. We love having them here and have no problem taking care of your new family member although costs of feed and care, at that point will need to be considered and your new piggy will be welcomed with this understanding.
WEE mini PIGGY FARM will not be held liable for any pigs that stay on our farm after final sale. We have the right to take any pig to our vet for any type of medical emergency or medical concern. The new owner will be liable for any vet related bills. WEE mini PIGGY FARM is not a "boarding facility" so in keeping your new family member with us we want you to know that they will be welcomed and cared for as our own but we can not be held responsible any costs incurred by leaving him with us. Being that we are not set up to board animals we have limited space that we use for our animals. Keeping any pig here for a longer period of time will be our pleasure although an extended period without proper arrangements and continued communication on the part of the new piggy owner could be a sign to us that you are not able to care for your piggy and/or if not able focus on getting your piggy home then you may not be a responsible owner.
If for any reason a sold pig is left with us without proper communication as to when a delivery date is to be set with outlined and detailed plans as to an agreed upon transfer within one month we will contact either through email or via phone to make arrangements with you. THE NEW HOME IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COMMUNICATING ANY CHANGES OF TIME LINES TO WEE mini PIGGY FARM. If the buyer does not communicate a set plan within two months of payment in full then WEE mini PIGGY FARM holds the rights to refuse delivery and ownership to this home and has the rights to retain any funds from the purchase. We feel very strongly that constant communication to us regarding your pig is not only showing concern for your new family member but a means of keeping us up to date so we will not become overwhelmed with worry about the way that we set our farm up to contain a certain number of pigs. We realize that there are extraordinary circumstances that can interfere with your plan to bring your piggy home. We understand that and if you keep in continued communication with us then we can discuss this and work with you.
To be clear, WEE mini PIGGY FARM and/or the owners are NOT a boarding facility. We do house pigs that can not be delivered due to timing issues on the part of the new owner. We will continue care and housing after the two week grace period for a boarding cost ONLY to be a SHORT TERM reliable, safe home for the pig. ANYONE WHO DOES NOT STAY IN CONSTANT CONTACT THROUGH EMAIL WITH WEE MINI PIG FARM with weekly updates as to when they will be ready for their new family member will be put at a risk for WEE mini PIGGY FARM to use our rights to decline the new home of the pig without WEE mini PIGGY FARM being held responsible in any way and the funds paid WILL BE NON REFUNDABLE. All boarding fee's will need to be paid in full before we release your new pet as well.
Deposits are non refundable. We except pay pal (buyer will be responsible for all fee's), If you need to send a personal check it will take at least two weeks for it to clear. Wee mini Piggy Farm will not release a pig to a new home until all funds have cleared and new piggy is paid in full. There are no guarantee's on size or eye color. I also have no guarantee's that a piglets coat color may not change . Some pigs born black can turn to a brown color. Some pink piglets can turn more of a red color. This is only true a small percentage of the time although you need to be aware of this. Genetics are what I base my breeding program on and that is how I am able to create many tiny babies both mini, micro mini, mini juliana, micro/mini juliana, etc. But, a good healthy diet has so much to do with adult size as well. I can only control what I feed my pigs here. It is my responsibility to take the best care possible while my pigs are my pigs. I feel that (as I have mentioned before) that it is my responsibility to place my pigs into the best homes possible. Even at that the best homes can over feed or not feed the right diet.
In saying that, I need to make it clear as well that genetics can be tricky as well. As much as I know about who to breed to who and for what reason and when the litters are born I will pick out who I feel will be the smallest adult's I can not guarantee that genetics are 100% all of the time. No one could guarantee the size of your child. You can make a really good guess knowing your genetics well although there are times a particular piglet (or any living thing) will be larger, brown eyed, pushier, sweeter, etc then what the last few generations before him have been. This is called a "through back". For breeding purposes it is not a bad thing. If you breed a piglet that (for example) a "through back" to five generations back of a 2 inch taller relative then that is not meaning that he will have 2 inch taller babies. He has all of the genetics to have the small babies. At times it is even better to not get a blue eyed pig if you want your next litter to be blue eyed. Blue eyes can skip generations. If you are lucky enough to be able to look through books of genetics from certain pigs you are able to see what good and bad you have in any one certain line of breeding. It is breath taking to be able to research and create beautiful piglets when you can determine from their background what you will get. But, you can never say that you guarantee something that has been proven to not be fool proof. I would not be telling anyone the truth, not be doing anyone any favors or finding the best home possible for my piglets if I did not explain my policies and why I have them.
All sales are final. If for any reason a pig is not working out for you I will take it back with no questions asked. I will then try to place that piglet in a home and give you whatever funds I may be able to receive for that particular pig. I will deduct a daily charge of $5.00 for food and upkeep until the pig is placed. I can not guarantee that I will be able to sell the pig but will do my best to get you some of your funds back.
All of my pigs have a health check before going off to their new home. I do not and will not send a pig that is not cleared as healthy by my vet. After cleared with a clean bill of health and sent to their new home I feel that I do not have any control over their health. I will not guarantee anything that may happen to the pig after he leaves my home for his new home.
All deposits are non refundable. New pig parents are responsible for payment in full before I make arrangements to transport them to their new homes. Shipping, neutering, any extra lab work or vet costs are required to be paid in full (by the new piggy owner) before going to their new home. No refunds for any reason for the final payment in full. I try my best to do everything that I am able to do to make sure that piglets are matched well with new homes. I need to have a 100% non refundable policy in place although I will do my best to exchange the piglet you had first chosen for another piglet that will fit in well with what you are looking for. You will be able to pick a piglet of your choice that is of equal. If I feel that the particular piglet is not a good match for your situation we will discuss this in detail and make decisions as to what we feel would work out well for both you and the piglet. If I do not have a piglet at that time that is one that we agree will be a good match for you I will make arrangements to contact you when nursery piglets or new litters are ready to be posted. EVEN THOUGH I DO HAVE MANY POLICIES I ALSO REALIZE THAT EACH AND EVERY SITUATION CAN BE DIFFERENT. I AM WILLING TO ASSESS A SITUATION AND DISCUSS ALTERNATIVES IF THERE IS A SITUATION WHERE FOR CERTAIN REASONS, YOU ARE NOT HAPPY. THESE POLICIES HAVE BECOME AN IMPORTANT PART OF PROGRAM DUE TO ETHICAL ISSUES. IF I AM NOT COMPLETELY STRAIGHT FORWARD WITH MY POLICIES THEN SOMETIMES I RUN ACROSS A SITUATION WHERE AN IMPULSIVE PURCHASE COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THEY HAD SEEN POLICIES THAT REVEAL HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO THINK HARD ABOUT MAKING A GOOD DECISION IN ADDING A NEW PET TO YOUR HOME. WE ARE ALL HUMAN AND IN UNDERSTANDING THAT I DO MY BEST TO BE REALISTIC WHEN EXPLAINING WHAT I HAVE TO OFFER PEOPLE , AT TIMES THERE ARE MISUNDERSTANDINGS. I TRY TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT BUYING A PET MINI PIG IS NOT BUYING 10 POUNDS. IT IS BUYING A REALISTIC SIZED MICRO BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANT TO ME IS THAT THEY ARE BRINGING A LIVING, BREATHING ANIMALS INTO THEIR HOME THAT THEY NEED TO LOVE FOR WHO THEY ARE AND NOT HOW SMALL THEY ARE. I AM NOT IN THIS BUSINESS TO DECEIVE ANYONE. I AM IN THIS BUSINESS DUE TO LOVING MY PIGS AND LOVING MY PIGGY PARENTS. I ALWAYS TRY TO TREAT PEOPLE AS I WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED. LESS OF A PROMISE AND MORE OF THE "PROOF THAT IS IN THE PUDDING" IS MY INTENT. ON THE SAME NOTE -- YOU HAVE TO BE REALISTIC WHEN PURCHASING A MICRO PIGLET. THEY WILL USUALLY BE THE SIZE OF A COCKER SPANIEL OR BULL DOG. WE ARE WORKING VERY HARD TO PRODUCE TINIER PIGS BUT THIS TAKES WORK AND GENERATIONS OF CONSISTENT BREEDING. I AM IN HOPES THAT WEE mini PIGGY FARM WILL BE THE PLACE THAT YOU CAN FIND SOME ANSWERS AND HONESTY. WE WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO FEEL AT HOME AND TAKEN CARE OF. WE GUARANTEE TO BE A SAFE PLACE TO ADOPT YOUR NEW BABY PIGLET WHEN YOU ARE READY.
I always want my new homes to feel free to call or email and ask any questions or talk with me about any concerns. I am here for the life of your piglet and I want you to be as educated as possible and feel free and comfortable that I will do whatever I can do to help you through any situation with your new baby. Owning a pig is very different then a dog or cat. You will have many many questions of which I will be more then happy to help you out with. You need to remember. Pigs are the 3rd smartest animal on this earth. They will keep you thinking and questioning along with laughing and talking about what he just did that you could not believe. They can wrap you around their little hoofs if you let them so be prepared for dealing with your pig by thinking like a pig. Learn how pigs treat each other and then apply that to your relationship with your buddy. You will get miles out of that if you can continue to think "what would another pig do in a situation like this"?
